Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter at WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding these instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, as well as being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC.
